A 200 x 300 grey and taupe Berber rug with fine stripes

The 200 x 300 Berber rug combines light grey, taupe and ivory columns, punctuated with small black lines and rare blue accents. Its prominent size offers enough surface area to connect several seats or accompany a large table. Eight other sizes, from 80x120 to 300x400 cm, complete the selection. The palette remains calm, while the vertical variations prevent the floor from appearing uniform.

The fine design is suitable for interiors that desire structure without massive contrast. It pairs well with oak, walnut, beige, grey, and muted colors.

  • Generous 200x300 cm size for a spacious living room.
  • Taupe and grey shades that are easy to match.
  • Subtle blue accents for an unexpected touch.
  • Fine vertical stripes that guide the eye.

Give the large size a clear function

In the living room, place the front feet of the sofa and armchairs on the rug to form a cohesive unit. Under a dining table, ensure that the chairs remain on the rug when pulled back. The rectangle should maintain a margin from the walls and allow for door openings.

Visualize the 200x300 cm

Use repositionable tape at the corners to assess the actual footprint and the amount of pattern that will remain visible.

A cream sofa lets the taupe anchor the room. A dark grey seat gives a more subdued result, to be balanced with light walls. Repeat the blue on a ceramic or a cushion only; its rarity makes it interesting.

Use blue sparingly

A single high-placed accent is enough to highlight the tiny colored details.

Two interpretations of grey taupe

Soft living room

Ecru sofa, light oak, and beige curtains create luminous continuity.

Urban decor

Anthracite seating, black table, and grey-blue lamp create a more graphic look.

Orient the stripes to balance the room

Follow the length if you want to extend the perspective. Place them parallel to the sofa if the living room seems too narrow. Look at the layout from the entrance, then from the main seating before deciding on the orientation.

The 200x300 cm can also visually separate two functions in an open room. Place its edge behind the armchairs to delineate the living room, while maintaining passage to the dining table. A low console or a light fixture can reinforce this boundary without closing off the view. The small blue accents are then best echoed on the other side of the room, on a vase or a piece of art, to maintain discreet continuity. If natural light comes from only one side, turn the rug after a few months so that the grey and taupe evolve more evenly.

Maintain the softness of the shades

Dust with an appropriate setting. For a mark, dab quickly and follow the product's care recommendations. Test any method in a discreet corner including taupe, grey, and ivory. Occasional rotation distributes wear and light.

The large rectangle can become a useful landmark in an open room. Align one edge with the back of the sofa and place a slim console just beyond it: the separation between the living room and circulation will be clear without a partition. The stripes then continue to guide the eye towards the bay window. If the ceiling is high, a voluminous but plain pendant light balances the floor space. Finally, keep the subtle blue as a discovery detail rather than a main theme of the decoration.

Maintain a regular margin

Leave a visible strip of floor around the rug, lift furniture when moving it, and keep the edges flat. This will make the large size appear better proportioned to the room.

To compare other models suitable for large seating areas, browse the large living room rugs.

Yes, if it connects the seating while preserving walkways.

Yes, after measuring the full chair pull-out.

Blue for a discreet accent, or taupe for gentle continuity.

Oak brightens the palette and walnut makes it more subdued.

Align the stripes with the perspective or the main furniture.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose the size of my rug?

The size of your rug depends on the room and the layout of your furniture. For a living room, for example, a large rug under which all the furniture fits gives a feeling of space. A smaller rug can define a space, such as a conversation area.

Do the photos online reflect the actual color of the rug?

We do our best to make colors as accurate as possible. However, shades may vary depending on screens and brightness settings.

How do I maintain my carpet?

Maintenance depends on the carpet material . Generally, a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush used regularly and occasional professional cleaning are recommended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to many countries around the world. Shipping costs and times may vary depending on destination.

What is the return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return your rug if it does not suit you. Make sure it is in its original condition and see our "Return Policy" page for more details.

Are the rugs pet resistant?

Our rugs are durable, but their resistance to animals depends on the material. Some rugs are more suitable for homes with pets. See product description for more information.

How do you know if a rug is non-slip?

Most of our rugs have a detailed description that indicates whether the rug is non-slip or whether it is recommended to use a non-slip underlay.

Does your site offer custom-made rugs?

We offer a varied selection of sizes, but at this time we do not offer a bespoke service.

What are the forms of payment accepted ?

We accept most major credit cards, PayPal, and other online payment methods. Visit our “Payment Methods” page for more information.

How do I know if a rug is in stock?

The stock status is indicated on the page of each product. If a mat is out of stock, this will be clearly indicated.
