How to use the online rug visualizer?

1. Choose a rug from the Persian and Berber models offered above, then click on "See this rug in my room."
2. Add a photo of your living room, bedroom, or the room you wish to furnish. A photo taken facing the intended placement area generally provides the most natural result.
3. Position the rug on the floor by dragging it. Use the rotation controls if the room's orientation requires it.
4. Compare the available sizes in the selector. When you are satisfied with the rendering, you can add the chosen rug directly to your cart.

What size rug should you try in your room?

The right size depends on the available surface and the furniture arrangement. The visualizer makes comparison easier, but a few benchmarks can help you start with a coherent size. You can also consult our rug size guide to deepen your choice.

• In a small living room, a rug placed in front of the sofa can structure the space without weighing it down.
• In a large living room, choose a width that allows at least the front feet of the sofa and armchairs to rest on the rug.
• Under a dining table, allow enough margin so that chairs remain on the rug when pulled back.
• In a bedroom, the rug can frame the bed or be placed on one side to create a more comfortable awakening.

A more realistic rendering under furniture

The visualizer locally analyzes the depth of your photo to identify the floor area and elements placed in the foreground. The rug can thus appear under a table, an armchair, or the edge of a sofa, instead of simply being placed over the entire image. The boundary between the floor and vertical surfaces also helps prevent the rug from going up a wall.

Every interior is different: low light, furniture very close to the floor, reflections, or unusual angles can influence the result. If necessary, the cropping correction option allows for manual refinement of a small area. To judge colors, also keep in mind that screen brightness and room lighting can slightly alter the perception of the rug.

Tips for getting a good simulation

• Take the photo with natural, even light, without an overly powerful flash.
• Frame enough floor around the intended placement to be able to move and resize the rug.
• Avoid, as much as possible, photos that are very tilted or taken from an unusual height.
• Clean the phone's lens to maintain precise contours around the furniture.
• Try several dimensions before deciding: a difference of a few tens of centimeters can change the visual balance of the room.

Persian or Berber rugs: compare styles

A Persian rug often brings detailed patterns, a rich palette, and a strong decorative presence. A Berber rug generally offers a more graphic, warm, and easy-to-match look for a contemporary interior. The photo used for the test is processed directly in your browser. It is not sent to Heikoa servers. The model needed for analysis is downloaded by the browser, then the calculation of the floor and furniture is performed on your device. You can therefore test several rugs in your interior without creating an account and without transmitting the image of your room.
