Art Deco round rug: large tone-on-tone curves

The Art Deco round rug displays a network of fine lines, also very light, against a cream background. Grouped into broad arcs, they form several shapes that intersect like petals, fans, or waves. The design remains subtle while bringing movement to the entire surface.

The model is available in 80, 100, and 120 cm. These three diameters allow you to modulate the space given to the curves: concentrated in the small format, balanced at 100 cm, and more expansive when the circle reaches 120 cm.

  • Cream palette: the background and lines create a soft, luminous contrast.
  • Radiant curves: several bundles meet without rigid symmetry.
  • Round shape: the contour naturally extends the movement of the design.
  • Three diameters: 80, 100, and 120 cm to choose the appropriate scale.

Read the pattern before placing furniture

First, identify the large areas of the design: a fan seems to open on one side, while other lines meet closer to the center. Rotate the circle to decide which curve will catch the eye from the entrance, sofa, or window.

Trace a few lines onto the template

After drawing the diameter, sketch three simple arcs inside. This step helps to anticipate how much of the pattern will remain visible around a table or under the edge of an armchair.

Diameter Radius Curve presence Possible composition
80 cm 40 cm Concentrated graphic Armchair or bedside
100 cm 50 cm Balanced fans Small round table
120 cm 60 cm More expanded lines Conversation corner
Free rotation Full circle Adjustable focal point Adaptation to perspective

Create a light palette that retains depth

Ivory, off-white, and beige extend the rug's softness. To avoid overly uniform decor, add a visually contrasting material: honey wood, walnut, black metal, or tinted glass. The lines remain discreet, but these accents provide a precise framework for the composition.

Olive green adds a natural touch, terracotta warms up the cream, and slate blue provides an elegant contrast. A single secondary color, repeated on two small elements, is enough to highlight the tone-on-tone movements.

Use side lighting

Place the circle so that the light hits the side of the pattern. Changes in direction become easier to perceive, and the lines contribute more to the atmosphere.

The marker that reveals the large curves

Keep an area clear in front of the central piece of furniture. This allows the eye to follow several arcs from one edge to the other and understand the complete construction of the design.

Pairing rounded shapes and furniture

The Art Deco round rug pairs particularly well with a curved sofa, an enveloping armchair, or a circular table. The repetition of shapes gives an impression of continuity. With straight furniture, the circle, conversely, softens the angles and creates a more contemporary contrast.

For a coffee table, a slight offset can be interesting: it reveals a larger portion of the lines and avoids masking their meeting point. Near an armchair, place the seat on the periphery to keep the center and a fan visible.

In monochrome decor, play with three levels of lightness: white for large volumes, cream for the rug, and a deeper beige for a cushion or table. This gradation makes the pattern appear without adding a strong color.

Before deciding on the diameter, compare the amount of floor visible around the circle. A regular contour gives a composed effect; a circle closer to the furniture pulls the scene together more. Photograph the templates from several viewpoints to choose the balance you truly like.

Two ways to interpret art deco decor

Sculptural living room

Combine white seating with curved shapes, a honey-colored table, and a black detail to emphasize the lines.

Contemporary nature

Combine cream with oak, olive green, and a terracotta object to warm up the composition.

The rug is available in 80, 100, and 120 cm.

Cream lines form large arcs, fans, and petals on a light background.

Measure 50 cm from the center in several directions.

A round table extends them, while an angular table creates a sharp contrast.

Wood, black, olive green, terracotta, and slate blue offer balanced combinations.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose the size of my rug?

The size of your rug depends on the room and the layout of your furniture. For a living room, for example, a large rug under which all the furniture fits gives a feeling of space. A smaller rug can define a space, such as a conversation area.

Do the photos online reflect the actual color of the rug?

We do our best to make colors as accurate as possible. However, shades may vary depending on screens and brightness settings.

How do I maintain my rug?

Maintenance depends on the rug material . Generally, a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush used regularly and occasional professional cleaning are recommended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to many countries around the world. Shipping costs and times may vary depending on destination.

What is the return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return your rug if it does not suit you. Make sure it is in its original condition and see our "Return Policy" page for more details.

Are the rugs pet resistant?

Our rugs are durable, but their resistance to animals depends on the material. Some rugs are more suitable for homes with pets. See product description for more information.

How do you know if a rug is non-slip?

Most of our rugs have a detailed description that indicates whether the rug is non-slip or whether it is recommended to use a non-slip underlay.

Does your site offer custom-made rugs?

We offer a varied selection of sizes, but at this time we do not offer a bespoke service.

What are the forms of payment accepted ?

We accept most major credit cards, PayPal, and other online payment methods. Visit our “Payment Methods” page for more information.

How do I know if a rug is in stock?

The stock status is indicated on the page of each product. If a mat is out of stock, this will be clearly indicated.
