Berber runner rug: a beige and red criss-cross pattern

The Berber runner rug moves away from parallel stripes to build a large diagonal lattice. Taupe beige lines and thin brick-red strokes intersect on an ecru background. Inside the diamonds thus formed, small beige shapes create a regular rhythm.

Nine dimensions are available, from 80x120 to 300x400 cm. The range allows you to choose between a compact grid and a very ample surface. The larger the format, the more the intersections and diamonds can accompany several pieces of furniture in the same composition.

  • Ecru background: a luminous base highlights the lines.
  • Diagonal criss-cross: the lattice gives movement in two directions.
  • Brick-red accent: thin strokes warm up the beige palette.
  • Nine sizes: from 80x120 to 300x400 cm for various scales.

Choosing the grid size

The 80x120 and 80x160 cm sizes concentrate the diamonds. Between 100x160 and 160x230 cm, the lattice becomes a balanced base for a sofa or table. The 180x250, 200x300, and 300x400 cm sizes give the diagonals an architectural presence.

Trace two diagonals in the layout

Connect the opposite corners, then add two parallel lines. This simulation shows how the lattice can widen the area, cross the furniture, or lead the eye toward the back.

Scale Formats Lattice reading Composition
Compact 80x120, 80x160 cm Tight diamonds Armchair or small area
Intermediate 100x160 to 160x230 cm Balanced intersections Sofa and table
Large 180x250, 200x300 cm Developed network Structured living room
Very large 300x400 cm Dominant weave Spacious room

Making red a subtle accent

The brick red appears in the form of thin lines. Terracotta ceramics, a rust-colored cushion, or a reddish-brown frame is enough to echo it. Off-white and blond wood extend the light background, while walnut deepens the beige tones.

Olive green creates a natural contrast with the red. Slate blue brings a fresher note. Choose only one secondary color and keep textiles plain so that the lattice remains the main pattern.

Align a diamond with the central piece of furniture

Place the center of a shape along the axis of the table or sofa. The diagonals then radiate around a stable reference point and provide a clear organization.

The marker that preserves the intersections

Keep at least one complete intersection of red and beige lines visible. This way, the construction of the pattern remains immediately understandable.

Using diagonals to animate the perspective

The Berber runner rug can place its lines in the direction of traffic, but the lattice also acts laterally. In a long space, it creates a succession of diamonds; in an open room, it visually connects several pieces of furniture.

A round table softens the intersections. Rectilinear furniture, on the other hand, extends the precision of the network. With a large format, leave a visible border around the seating so that the diagonals can continue from one side to the other.

In a hallway, place a series of diamonds on the central axis and keep an even space on the sides. In a living room, slightly shift the lattice so that an intersection appears in front of the table. These two placements reveal the geometry without unnecessarily covering the small beige motifs and maintain a fluid reading.

From a distance, the red lines form a light grid. As you approach, the small beige shapes appear in the center of the diamonds. Even lighting helps these two levels of detail remain distinct.

Two palettes around the lattice

Ecru, oak, and terracotta

Pair a light sofa, a blond wood table, and two terracotta accessories for a warm ambiance.

Beige, walnut, and olive green

Choose dark furniture, a plant, and a green cushion to give more depth to the ecru background.

The range includes nine formats, from 80x120 to 300x400 cm.

Ecru, taupe beige, and brick red make up the palette.

Diagonal lines intersect to form a network of large diamonds.

A terracotta, rust, or reddish-brown object subtly picks up the thin lines.

A round or oval table contrasts with the numerous diagonals.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose the size of my rug?

The size of your rug depends on the room and the layout of your furniture. For a living room, for example, a large rug under which all the furniture fits gives a feeling of space. A smaller rug can define a space, such as a conversation area.

Do the photos online reflect the actual color of the rug?

We do our best to make colors as accurate as possible. However, shades may vary depending on screens and brightness settings.

How do I maintain my rug?

Maintenance depends on the rug material . Generally, a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush used regularly and occasional professional cleaning are recommended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to many countries around the world. Shipping costs and times may vary depending on destination.

What is the return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return your rug if it does not suit you. Make sure it is in its original condition and see our "Return Policy" page for more details.

Are the rugs pet resistant?

Our rugs are durable, but their resistance to animals depends on the material. Some rugs are more suitable for homes with pets. See product description for more information.

How do you know if a rug is non-slip?

Most of our rugs have a detailed description that indicates whether the rug is non-slip or whether it is recommended to use a non-slip underlay.

Does your site offer custom-made rugs?

We offer a varied selection of sizes, but at this time we do not offer a bespoke service.
