Short-pile Berber rug: a refined design in gray and terracotta

The short-pile Berber rug combines long gray and ecru columns with small touches of terracotta. Diamonds follow one another near the edges, chevrons occupy other stripes, and fine series of triangles create a tighter rhythm in the center. The eye first encounters a clear and graphic ensemble, then gradually discovers the variety of these signs.

Nine dimensions are available, from 80x120 to 300x400 cm. The range allows you to choose a geometric accent near an armchair or a large common base for several pieces of furniture. The chosen palette remains measured: gray and ecru build the bulk of the decor, while terracotta highlights certain lines without dominating the whole.

  • Fine columns: a succession of patterns that guides the gaze.
  • Diamonds and chevrons: patterns that are easy to distinguish up close.
  • Discreet terracotta: a warm note in the light palette.
  • Nine sizes: several ways to integrate the stripes with furniture.

Enjoying the precision of the pattern

The columns do not all tell the same story. Some feature large diamonds, others tight little chevrons or triangular edges. This variety invites you to observe the rug from different distances. At the entrance to the living room, the stripes form an overall composition; near a table or an armchair, the signs become decorative details in their own right.

A solid-colored sofa allows this finesse to be seen. A light wood table complements the ecru; a browner wood warms up the terracotta accents. A very thin black frame can emphasize the geometry without introducing another print. The room remains legible if the large surrounding textiles favor simple surfaces.

Look at the edges as much as the center

The rows of diamonds near the sides contribute to the design. Place a template on the floor and check that they will remain visible next to the furniture.

Placing the columns according to the room's lines

A long room can accommodate the stripes in its main axis to extend the perspective. In a living room organized around a wide sofa, turning them in the other direction gives a transverse rhythm. No orientation is imposed by the design: simply compare the reading of the diamonds from the sofa and from the entrance. A few strips of paper placed on the floor are enough to represent their direction before installation.

Dimensions Column placement Furniture to connect Interesting viewpoint
80x120, 80x160 cm Concentrated pattern Armchair and small table From the seat
100x160, 120x160 cm Several legible stripes Reading nook From the entrance
140x200, 160x230 cm Developed geometry Sofa and coffee table Facing the sofa
180x250, 200x300, 300x400 cm Large continuous rhythm Multiple seats Across the room

For the largest formats, compare the position of the furniture with the lines of the pattern. A table centered on a few columns can leave the series of diamonds visible on each side. In a bedroom, the long side of the rug can follow the length of the bed and keep a portion of geometry free at the foot of the furniture.

Making the terracotta echo the wood

Make the terracotta echo the wood

A vase in a terracotta shade or a brown piece of furniture is enough to recall the small warm accents. The large surfaces can remain ecru or gray.

Let the stripes keep their rhythm

Distribute bulky objects so as to show several types of columns, especially the diamonds and chevrons.

A graphic base for several atmospheres

The short-pile Berber rug can accompany a light-colored living room where gray blends with white and oak. In a more enveloping space, walnut deepens the terracotta touches and a cream cushion echoes the light background. Both approaches retain the same visual advantage: the signs on the rug provide detail, while the furniture provides surfaces for the eyes to rest.

A round mirror can contrast with the angles of the diamonds. Conversely, a bookcase with straight lines extends their organization. Choose one of these interplay of forms depending on the existing room. The rug has enough variations to remain interesting even when surrounded by very simple furniture.

Two decors around geometry

Light oak and pearl gray

A solid gray sofa, an oak table, and light walls highlight the columns.

Walnut and terracotta

A brown wood piece of furniture and a small terracotta vase extend the warm accents of the design.

Gray and ecru dominate, with terracotta touches on certain stripes.

The visual combines diamonds, chevrons, triangles, and small repeated strokes.

Nine sizes are offered, from 80x120 to 300x400 cm.

Keep the edges of the design visible and choose a central piece of furniture with simple lines.

Light oak creates a bright atmosphere; walnut reinforces the warm note.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose the size of my rug?

The size of your rug depends on the room and the layout of your furniture. For a living room, for example, a large rug under which all the furniture fits gives a feeling of space. A smaller rug can define a space, such as a conversation area.

Do the photos online reflect the actual color of the rug?

We do our best to make colors as accurate as possible. However, shades may vary depending on screens and brightness settings.

How do I maintain my rug?

Maintenance depends on the rug material . Generally, a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush used regularly and occasional professional cleaning are recommended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to many countries around the world. Shipping costs and times may vary depending on destination.

What is the return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return your rug if it does not suit you. Make sure it is in its original condition and see our "Return Policy" page for more details.

Are the rugs pet resistant?

Our rugs are durable, but their resistance to animals depends on the material. Some rugs are more suitable for homes with pets. See product description for more information.

How do you know if a rug is non-slip?

Most of our rugs have a detailed description that indicates whether the rug is non-slip or whether it is recommended to use a non-slip underlay.

Does your site offer custom-made rugs?

We offer a varied selection of sizes, but at this time we do not offer a bespoke service.

What are the forms of payment accepted ?

We accept most major credit cards, PayPal, and other online payment methods. Visit our “Payment Methods” page for more information.
