Small Kitchen Rug: a mosaic of cubes from light to midnight blue

The Small Kitchen Rug transforms a pattern of diamonds into geometric cubes. The design evolves from white and very light gray to blue-gray, anthracite, and midnight blue. Fine golden lines connect the facets and accentuate the sense of depth.

Four dimensions are available: 40x60, 50x80, 60x90, and 40x120 cm. The first three sizes concentrate the color transition, while the elongated model provides more space for the progression between light and dark areas.

  • Volumetric cubes: each group of diamonds creates a geometric illusion.
  • Visual gradient: ivory, gray, and midnight blue follow one another along the length.
  • Golden lines: they separate the facets and illuminate the mosaic.
  • Four dimensions: from 40x60 to the long 40x120 cm format.

Choosing the direction of the progression

The light area can be placed in front of dark cabinets to provide contrast. Conversely, the midnight blue section can anchor a white facade. The orientation therefore allows the design to be adapted to the kitchen’s dominant color without modifying the furniture.

Divide the template into three values

Outline the size, then mark a white zone, a gray one, and a dark blue one. This simulation shows the movement of the gradient better than an entirely empty rectangle.

Dimension Cube reading Direction Decorative effect
40x60 cm Concentrated mosaic Short accent Graphic focal point
50x80 cm Balanced gradient Classic rectangle Targeted area
60x90 cm Developed facets Wider surface Assertive contrast
40x120 cm Stretched progression Long perspective Accompanied facade

Connecting the mosaic to the facades

White and light gray extend light-colored furniture. Anthracite and midnight blue dialogue with a dark countertop or black handles. Honey wood and cognac tones respond to the golden beige facets, adding measured warmth to the whole.

A green plant introduces an organic shape against the cubes. Terracotta warms up the blues, and ivory ceramics recall the light section. Limit printed accessories so that the perspective remains the main motif of the scene.

Present the gradient from the entrance

Orient the light part toward the entrance for a luminous transition, or start with midnight blue for a more dramatic contrast.

The marker that maintains the illusion

Keep several groups of three diamonds visible. Their complete assembly makes the cubes recognizable at first glance.

Giving rhythm to a small area

The Small Kitchen Rug can create an accent in front of a specific cabinet with the short formats. The 40x120 cm version better accompanies a line of facades and transforms the gradient into a true visual journey from one end to the other.

Align the long side with the main cabinet to stabilize the composition. The internal diagonals then take care of adding movement. In a corner kitchen, choose the axis most visible from the entrance and have the cubes progress in that direction.

To choose between two sizes, compare the length of the rug to that of the relevant facade. A significantly shorter model forms an autonomous point. A size close to the cabinet creates continuity and gives more room for the color transition.

The design can be echoed without being copied: a midnight blue box, a black handle, and a wooden object are enough to evoke three different facets. The rest of the decoration can remain plain to preserve a clear visual hierarchy.

From the side, the mosaic produces a different reading: the diagonals become more present and naturally lead the eye toward the opposite end.

Two palettes around blue and ivory

White and mineral blue

Combine light facades, blue ceramics, and black details to highlight the gradient.

Wood and golden facets

Add a honey wood countertop, gray, and a touch of cognac to warm up the mosaic.

The formats are 40x60, 50x80, 60x90, and 40x120 cm.

Colored diamonds assemble to form a mosaic of cubes.

White, gray, midnight blue, and golden beige make up the gradient.

The 40x120 cm size has the maximum length.

Place the light or dark part toward the entrance depending on the desired contrast.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose the size of my rug?

The size of your rug depends on the room and the layout of your furniture. For a living room, for example, a large rug under which all the furniture fits gives a feeling of space. A smaller rug can define a space, such as a conversation area.

Do the photos online reflect the actual color of the rug?

We do our best to make colors as accurate as possible. However, shades may vary depending on screens and brightness settings.

How do I maintain my rug?

Maintenance depends on the rug material . Generally, a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush used regularly and occasional professional cleaning are recommended.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to many countries around the world. Shipping costs and times may vary depending on destination.

What is the return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return your rug if it does not suit you. Make sure it is in its original condition and see our "Return Policy" page for more details.

Are the rugs pet resistant?

Our rugs are durable, but their resistance to animals depends on the material. Some rugs are more suitable for homes with pets. See product description for more information.

How do you know if a rug is non-slip?

Most of our rugs have a detailed description that indicates whether the rug is non-slip or whether it is recommended to use a non-slip underlay.

Does your site offer custom-made rugs?

We offer a varied selection of sizes, but at this time we do not offer a bespoke service.
